For the sake of a dollar, the American way.

As does BET, Oprah continues to fail to be a credit to her race or gender.

There was a statement made by the infamous Rush Limbaugh about the National Football League being desirous of black quarterbacks being successful in that position, that it was good for the league for it to happen. He lost his job at ESPN over that remark at the time as it came across as a bad to have blacks allowed to play in that respected position of leadership of taking hard men in to do most physical of battles against men of like minded stature and purpose.  In the NFL it has long been standard protocol to speak in favor of the black quarterback even if no one expected much success with them at the helm. That has come to past as blacks have obtained success at both the quarterback and the coaching level in this most manly of American sports. This cannot be said of either Oprah Winfrey or BET as representatives of the best one group of people has to offer over another. Here we have cases in which both entities have existed strictly for the sake of making a dollar, while sometimes extremely profitable, not always the best example of getting there in a positive or enlightened manner as an individual or business entity.

I am going to limit my presentation of this opinion biased as it may seem on the observation of her actions as a woman of influence as a father of a young lady potentially affected by what she sees. First and foremost, the permission to fail, over and over and over and over again with Oprah. Oprah Is big again!, for the umpteen time already, she has to be at least 240 lbs. at the height of 5’4” tall. That is heavy for that height and very unhealthy for her heart; there is no two ways around that fact. The side view is not flattering at all, girlfriend. She has had more careers in health and fitness launched trying to get her to do what she refuses to do for herself in spite of all the admiration of women all over the world and the respect of a few men appreciative of her staying power and bank account, basically maintain just anyone of a combination of those programs she has trained under already and stick with it from now on! But…, and I have a daughter and two granddaughters watching this woman inability to stick with keeping herself fit for any length of time. On top of this most obvious problem of yo-yo dieting right before our very eyes, somehow, each new occasion, each new doctor, each new guru is the one who will lead her to the promise land of fitness forever more until the other issue in her life smacks her upside the head or at the very least, the heart, he inability to maintain relationships. I am watching the reinforcement of public failure for the sake of making a dollar for that has a higher priority in this society.

She is really enforcing the negative messages by choosing to have Mackenzie Phillips and Sara Palin as an hour long guest on her show.  We know that least Ms. Phillips was motivated to sell her book about her situation with her father, but I could not for the life of me understand Oprah’s participation by offering her audience as a potential forum of customers. I personally, as a kid abused, did not see the relationship she had with him as a good thing and if shared, should have been shared publically while he was alive. It came across like there was expectation that the public should be more open and accepting of different ways of doing things. As I would imagine many would do, I first think of the messages we tell our kids in a time when it seems there are so many adults believing that having relationships with them in an adult manner is a perfectly normal way to live and that was being implied in her book and so doing in coming on any show to sell it, and this was okay with Oprah. As will be with the upcoming Sara Palin selling her ‘Going Rogue!’ You can’t pretend anything with Ms. Palin as she was all over the campaign trail with the loons and ‘Birthers’ questioning the legitimacy of the Barack Obama Presidency. She has pretty much taken to side with the more hard core right wing perspective of the hard right wing of the Republican Party along with the positions taken by the well known media leaders like Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. This is quietly considered to be the ‘Klan’ controlled wing of the formerly civilized hard right conservative wing today’s modern Republican Party.

While Oprah may rationalize to herself and others on the virtues of allowing an abused woman to open her soul to the world for other women who may have suffered the same fate by having Ms. Phillips on, there is no way to rationalize someone who believes you to be inferior and therefore, have no right to even live here in this fine wonderful country built by good hard working white folks. This is according to records, is from an educated grown woman of forty-something years having run a town as mayor and state as governor for some time, who seeks to run that country with the rest of us trapping in here also with nowhere to run. Oprah, the credit to her race and her gender, sees this as a positive message to share with the women of America who watched and still watch her failure everyday with unexplained respect and awe, once again will see her as the pioneer for having done so.  We all know she’s just all up in there when it comes to the money from the ratings. As a father, I don’t know where to begin to start on the detrimental impact of BET on woman all across America.

Why Conservatives Are Really Afraid of a Black President.

This is posted on the new Outside Sources page as others witness fear of the black man.

Jonathan Walton, Alternet posted October 10, 2009 on Alternet.org

The president reminds Glenn Beck, and those who identify with his white neo-nationalism, of the lie of their own professed superiority

… in Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, “Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on,” and, of course, everybody says the white kid deserved it, he was born a racist, he’s white. Newsweek magazine told us this. We know that white students are destroying civility on buses, white students destroying civility in classrooms all over America, white congressmen destroying civility in the House of Representatives. — Rush Limbaugh,
Sept. 15, 2009

Ever the statesman, and often candid to a political fault, former President Jimmy Carter said recently that much of the animosity directed toward President Barack Obama is “based on the fact that he is a black man.”

A lifelong Southerner, Carter acknowledged that the inclination of racism still exists, and that “it has bubbled up to the surface because of the belief among many white people, not just in the South but around the country, that African Americans are not qualified to lead this great country.”

Though courageous, the former president’s pronouncement will surely be considered controversial to many Republicans and Democrats alike. Some will view Carter’s comments as politically inexpedient.

The topic of race in general, and charges of racism in particular, is political dynamite that typically explodes in the hands of the accuser — just ask [Harvard] Professor Skip Gates, [New York] Gov. David Paterson, or Obama (whom I will return to momentarily).

Unless someone is wearing a Klan hood while yelling, “Nigger, Go Back to Africa,” the charge of racism seems to offend the accused these days more than the actual victims.

This is true, in part, due to the most prevalent view of the problem of race and racism in this country. In the eyes of many, the responsibility of moving beyond racial conflict in America is placed at the feet of minority communities of color, as opposed to the dominant society.

We’ve all heard it. America will move beyond race to a colorblind society only when minority groups cease dwelling on difference. Such a view permeates the melting pot ideal of American folklore, the myth of meritocracy and even the “post-racial” dimension of electoral politics.

Thus, for Carter to call out this segment of the white community, he is disrupting the conspiracy of silence concerning racial injustice that demands the allegiance of politicians on the national scene.

Think about it. Is this not the racial bargain that Obama accepted to become the nation’s first African American president? Matters pertaining to race have been avoided unless absolutely necessary (cough, cough, the Rev. [Jeremiah] Wright).

And in terms of policy, obstacles faced by any particular group, like disproportionate unemployment among communities of color, for example, are obfuscated by anemic and ineffectual broad-based prescriptions. Rising tides lift all boats, right?

Yet Obama’s enormous success in life, whether as a highly educated community organizer or as America’s commander in chief, exposes the paradox this sort of faux post-racialism presents.

It’s a one-sided deal for people of color; as “post-racial” in effect means post-black, post-brown, post-red and post-yellow, while leaving the normative racial framework of whiteness intact. Race is the challenge people of color must confront and, dare I say, “get over.”

But a post-racial America does not demand the same of those who identify with, and claim the social construction of, whiteness and perceived privileges and cultural superiority therein.

This is why, it would seem, Obama’s body standing behind the American presidential seal has a critical segment of America losing its hold on reality — a reality, I would argue, few have ever been forced to acknowledge up to this point.

Whether it’s the birthers, tea-baggers, deathers, indoctrinators, or “You lie!”-ers, they have neither veiled their racial animus nor cloaked their white nationalism. The prevalence of racist images of Obama brandished by protesters juxtaposed with calls of “taking our country back” are reminiscent of D.W. Griffith’s fictional America as depicted in the film Birth of a Nation.

And the pride with which this segment of society has rallied the troops around its shared sense of whiteness reveals that their skin color is the one true object of pledged allegiance and determinant of professed patriotism. [See "Unregulated Capitalism and Christian Fervor: Report from the 9/12 Rally at the Capitol" from Sept. 17.]

Herein lies Carter’s perceptive point. Obama can’t win with these folks, because they are blinded not just by his race but also by an uncritical devotion to their own. His pigmentation rather than his policies cut against the grain of what these persons wrongly consider “natural” or “American.”

More specifically, his very being is a haunting rejoinder to such white Americans of what they are not — indeed what they have never been. This African American man with an Arabic name has dared to usurp all of the cultural and cognitive tropes that white supremacy has historically claimed for itself. He is calm in the face of their unrestrained emotion. The more illogical they act, the more rational he comes across. And, of course, the more eloquent and erudite he presents himself, the more he provokes the Joe Wilsons of the world to mindlessly blurt out, “You lie!”

In the process, Obama has transformed such opponents into the racial other, an uneducated and uncultured blob of white (and largely Southern) backwardness that is beyond the pale of social redemption or acculturation. Wilson and the remaining Sons of Confederate Veterans have, in effect, become this “black man’s burden.”

Maybe this helps explain Glenn Beck’s ridiculous yet probably heartfelt assertion that the president has a “deep-seated hatred for white people.”

The president reminds Beck, along with those who identify with Beck’s form of white neo-nationalism, of the lie of their own professed superiority — a place of comfort and privilege in America that was neither deserved nor ever attained, yet still claimed based on the pinkness of their skin and straightness of hair. Obama’s apparent success only further dismantles this lie and pours salt in socially insecure wounds.

Similar can be said of those who need the president to be Adolf Hitler. If Obama is Hitler, that means protestors can liken themselves unto the Jews; only this time it’s a victimized-yet-devout group of white Anglo-Saxon Protestants who want nothing more than to restore a nation that God, or more appropriately, Jefferson Davis, decreed as divinely their own.

The ability to make such ludicrous claims on conservative radio, Fox News, and on Capitol Hill, however, represents the kind of power that they unduly still possess. As tasteless as Wilson’s heckling of the president was, it still takes an immense level of privilege to be a jerk on the floor of Congress.

My point here is simply that the problem of race in America has never been solely or predominantly a minority issue. It is first and foremost, as Carter said, a problem of whiteness.

Just as racial segregation in Wilson’s fond memories of idyllic South Carolina was less about black people but a matter of white phobia, the lie of whiteness projects its fears upon minority bodies like the president’s in hopes of maintaining its own unhealthy and unrealistic sense of being in charge.

This is why James Baldwin rightly suggested years ago that “the vast amount of the energy that goes into what we call the ‘Negro problem’ is produced by the white man’s profound desire not to be judged by those who are not white.”

I believe this applies to our current president and his most vocal critics. If he is framed as the foreigner, incarnate evil and indoctrinating Nazi, many won’t have to acknowledge that he may just be smart, sophisticated and a devout patriot. God forbid.

And if he is, what does that make them?

Look around Senator, many things are required by law.

Senator Grassley’s false concerns of new socialistic institutions, doesn’t have to go far to find them already in place. I found a few that if you don’t pay the fee, you will pay some penalty.

v  Car seats for children of varying ages depending on the city and state ordinances can require them until the child is at ten years of ages in most places and up to 12 years old in others.  The national safety guidelines state 13.

v  All pets are required to be vaccinated for rabies as a protection to the overall population.

v  Motorcycle helmet laws vary from state to state, but 20 states require all riders to wear them, while only 4 are totally 100% helmet free;  Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and New Hampshire.

v  Every state in the union requires an id card in driver licenses/identification cards.

v  In order to practice a very old tradition here in America, you must have a license to hunt or fish.

v  Homeowners insurance has always been required to secure a loan, don’t pay and no house.

v  Every state in the union requires a license for two people to marry don’t and it is not legal.

v  Want to drive professionally like buses and trucks, more licenses, fees and it is required by law.

v  Want to travel from country to country; we have to know you started here, that requires a passport and visas to the place you want to go, and depending on the location maybe permission.

v   The government requires children, children to be immunized by the first grade, if you can imagine that for a moment.  All of these things in place by just telling us it are for the safety of the whole community, no less. Whatever will this government come to next?

A leader is making the request of a lifetime, I say let him have it.

A nation of one people (Americans) has nothing to fear but fear itself.

The White Supremacist males of America have full control of the Republican Party with the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and Sara Palin in charge and speaking loudly about the virtues of their mindset. The Party has co-opted Patriotism by pretending to be strong on military defense, and use thereof, yet unwilling to serve in uniform as a rule, strong on crime by finding ways the opposition may have  made some decision, statement or support that suggested otherwise, but won’t approve appropriations in legislation to fund the hiring of more officers, have a reputation for getting things done like any and all deregulation and approval of derivatives securities, and prime mortgages which eventually brought down this economy and almost the whole world. That is not enough, they now want football. Folks all over the place are screaming demon. Football is different from politics, though I would think many think it the same, competition, winning, fame, money, privilege, power run through both professions.

One thing the National Football League has claimed and proclaimed to the world is that black and white players get along there. Now Rush as the Party’s titular head is claiming for the party toughness as they have hijacked so many themes before. He has already claimed for the Republican Party to be the party of ‘Real Americans’, of ‘Hard working Americans’, ‘True Americans’ ‘Real People of Value’ Americans that the rest of the people in this country must not be, the honor and prestige of serving that comes with combat, but only by starting wars, integrity of fiscal responsibility like the ‘Contract with America’, patriotism of going to war with Afghanistan and Iraq, though it was found not to be for any good reason other than profit for the members of the Project for a New American Century Group. These guys didn’t get the memo about the white male thing going within the Republican Party and making a stand, they were just about making some cash for Halliburton, Google war with Iraq.

This makes perfect sense to me that they would want this particular sport and not baseball where the fight first started with Jackie Robinson. This quietly has taken over as the national pastime and the ultimate statement of physical confrontation for the fans and I believe even more so for the owners of these teams. We as men accept that every level of the male experience can and will be about competition and few would debate that.  Rush Limbaugh has at least become that sort of voice of the blue collar, average Joe type of guy who is just trying to make ends meet and wants the government to leave his paycheck alone if there is one in these trying times. They saw a mass of blacks released amongst them without any consideration of the impact on them; they watched the Latinos migrate up and break off even more resources and then experienced the error of bad judgment on the parts of politicians and businessmen alike.

They who Rush represents now feel like the exiled ones as the dreaded census reports confirm the numbers changing and not in their favor. I feel these voices that Glen, Rush and Sara represent are trying to make a stand to say, wait a minute here, America; we the good white folks of this sovereign nation would like to say we count too!, damn it, we are here and we count too! So getting a Football Team would allow them to bring together a like minded group of men with a sole purpose of proving the superiority of the white male of every position encompassed by the 53 men that make up a squad for a 16 game season every year after year after year. Like I said Football and politics are two distinctly different animals. If Rush thinks he can put that together and stir up enough passion year in and year out to convince these same 53 men and the numbers of backups necessary to maintain that quota throughout the season to injuries, death, family and just plain life.

Now personally, I like a person who likes to aim high, but I can’t imagine a scenario I can see where he would be capable of maintaining that kind of roster for a season. That would suggest two options, he has to bring blacks on board his program and learn something by the experience that would help him grow as a person, or one of them expresses themselves to the ultimate detriment of the owner of the club or the club itself. It suggest at least what we men appreciate as a show of spine I’m not sure he has, this remains to be seen. I think all of America could learn and grow from the experience and it might get ugly but, after all these are tough guys, what are they afraid of, one old fat white guy?

A ‘Humbled Black Man’ with the weight of the world on his mind.

Another opportunity to edge Rush Limbaugh closer to a losing it, he just can’t do no wrong.

I must say I am very amused by how incensed Rush seems to get whenever something goes the Presidents way. I thought the man was going to have a meltdown when this Nobel Peace Prize was awarded. All of the talking heads on both sides are scratching their prospective heads in wonder at this particular selection considering some of the prominent names attached to it as in Presidents Wilson and Roosevelt. At first I was puzzled myself until I heard when the selection was made; namely the first of February. This nomination had to be made solely on the accomplishment of winning the national election in the United States of America and becoming the 44th President. Obviously, Oslo thought any black man who could convince enough white people in America  to even nominate him over Hillary was quite the accomplishment, to go on the beat out a well know war veteran and win was worthy of merit and deserved some notice.  The Republicans saw it as rebukes of former President’s Bush go it alone, my way or the highway cowboy diplomacy foreign policy. Just on this basic level alone, we all as Americans should appreciate the sentiments of the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy; who hailed the award as “proof of America’s return to the hearts of the peoples of the world”.

I personally am proud at any and all proclamations by the rest of the world that we are back in their good graces, that to me is and should be about just basic American pride.  I expect the President’s reaction was more one of “Damn, I can’t lose for winning!” just knowing where the right was going to go with the award notice. This was for them exactly that, another moment to point out how everyone gets wrapped up in the President’s rhetoric over his accomplishments. They selected him February 1, of this year, that alone says this selection has little to do with anything he has done since he’s been sworn in, and more to do with having won the position in the first place. His winning suggests so much hope for this country for our reputation of our derogatory perception of the blacks in this nation is widely known throughout the western world at the very least. I cannot say how many times I overheard comments about the public relations material and new citizens’ manuals making just those types of negative statements about us.  Better still, the world seems to agree with us that we made the best choice for America and the world by electing President Barack Obama over Senator John McCain. Republicans still believe Ronnie saved the world from the brink of nuclear holocaust and should’ve gotten a Nobel peace prize before he forgot who he was.  We blacks never really had great appreciation for Ronnie, not just as Democrats, but he was not a nice person, great smile while he was a hater.  He just knew enough to smile politely at you while viciously stabbing the hell out of you at the same time.  Somehow, that made him some kind of hero to the Party faithful.

I believe this causes as many problems as opportunities for the President to argue the actions and policies are always watched with great interest throughout the world and sometimes with great consequences.  Anything and everything that can and will go wrong from this point on will be an indictment of the fallacy of the selection and the award. Already pundits dismissed his winning as no big deal as the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, and former President Jimmy Carter won the award also.  Even liberals and some of his supporters quietly scratch their heads wondering of this selection’s meaning as well, an international stamp of approval of the actions and statements made so far by this administration or momentum push toward a more aggressive leftist agenda in the future.  As we marvel in the uniqueness of our President, we have yet to experience the benefits and or damage from his personal decisions, to date he has pushed more legislation than he created.  While winning on health care may be a historic occasion for the President, with all that he has on his plate not of his own making, this award could be just another in line with extraordinary expectations of the black man that are just what the cool demeanor  from Chi town ordered. The Republicans are coming across like the most hostile bunch of hypocrites since the reconstruction period just after slavery ended. They absolutely do not want another black person to run for this office again if they can help it, and the only way to reinforce that notion is to make this a most debilitating experience for both America and President Barack Obama, that’s Hussein to you, Mr. President.  Rush Limbaugh had to be just be livid when he found out, don’t you just love when a good plan comes together.  I’m not sure the President does.

Another view of chaos within the Republican party

As with anyone of merit, I too am concerned that my view may be perceived as biased, I hope this removes that notion. This by Brad Reed of Alternet.org

Number 5: John Derbyshire takes a bold stand against women’s suffrage

Last week, John Derbyshire, the National Review’s resident British crank, outlined a bold strategy to help Republicans return to power: by denying women the right to vote. The Derb explained that the trouble with women is that “they want someone to nurture, they want someone to help raise their kids, and if men aren’t inclined to do it… then they’d like the state to do it for them.” In other words, uterus-afflicted individuals should be barred from voting because they’re more likely to vote for people who disagree with John Derbyshire. Democracy in action!

Derb tried to show that he wasn’t completely out to lunch, however, by acknowledging that it’s highly unlikely that women will ever give up their right to vote.  Of course, if women ever did find their right to vote repealed someday, Derb also said that he “wouldn’t lose a minute’s sleep” over it.

What is refreshing about Derbyshire is that he doesn’t try to hide his bigotry or to disguise it with code words – he just has it right out there. Derbyshire has been known to openly game-plan future race wars, to declare that blacks and Latinos are too stupid to educate and to write entire columns declaring his hatred for Chelsea Clinton back when she was just 20 years old. So in this respect, it’s not shocking that Derbyshire opposes women’s suffrage. What’s shocking is that it took him this long to say it.

Number 4: Erick Erickson threatens to dissolve his own town’s police department

Erick Erickson, the founder and managing editor of RedState.com, has a second gig as a city councilor in his hometown of Macon, Georgia. And apparently, the police force in that town is upset by low pay and long hours and they want to form a union. Erickson’s response? He threatens to simply abolish the entire department!

Writing at the PeachPundit blog, Erickson said that he actually asked the city attorney about the possibility of dissolving the police department. The attorney replied that police unions in the state of Georgia cannot strike or collectively bargain, meaning that any union the police formed would be essentially worthless. This didn’t deter Erickson entirely, however, as he said he’d still rather “contract out to the sheriff’s office than see a union come in” because unions “breed inefficiency, corruption, and taint.”

Regardless of how this ultimately turns out, you have to seriously question the intelligence of a man who talks openly of canning his entire police department. It’s almost as if he’s begging to be pulled over and subjected to multiple anal cavity searches.

Number 3: John L. Perry urges a military coup against Obama

I knew that right-wingers would at some point start harboring fantasies of launching a military coup against Barack Obama, but even I confess that I didn’t expect them to come less than 10 months into his presidency.

But NewsMax columnist John L. Perry decided that the threat of Obamunism was too dire to ignore much longer and felt forced to go Full Metal Wingnut in his column this week. The piece was hilariously titled “Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention,” thus suggesting that if the military decided to launch a coup against the president it would be entirely his own fault. The best part about having a coup, says Perry, is that it would be practically guaranteed to be non-violent, since “America isn’t the Third World” and “if a military coup does occur here it will be civilized.”

I’m not sure how this would play out in real life. I’m picturing military troopers storming the White House dressed in rainbow-colored uniforms and armed with guns that fire only flowers and puffy white clouds.

“Please come out to play with us!” the commandos would yell at Obama.

At any rate, this column was so nutty that apparently even NewsMax decided to yank it.

Number 2: Dan Riehl suggests that dead census worker could have been a “child predator”

While there is still much we don’t know about the death of census worker Bill Sparkman – who was found hanging from a tree with the word “Fed” written across his chest – it’s probably safe to assume that it wasn’t a suicide. Blogger Dan Riehl, however, took a bold new tack in the investigation this week when he used flimsy circumstantial evid… hell, it doesn’t even qualify as that. Long story short, Riehl speculated that Sparkman may have been a “child predator.”

Why? Because according to Riehl, “Sparkman’s bio and work history suggests at the least he was not just your average guy. No teaching degree, no full-time means of employment and no wife or kids so far as I am aware. But he certainly did gravitate towards children. I can’t help but wonder if this wasn’t a revenge killing disguised to look like something else. If he did have issues in this regard and messed with the wrong kid, it isn’t as if something like that can be ruled out until we know more.”

There are times when reading conservative blogs makes me feel outright dirty. This is one of those times.

Number 1: Conservatives everywhere declare that it’s their patriotic duty to stop America from hosting the Olympics

Conservatives are well-known for not only wearing their American flags on their hearts, but on their nipples and groins as well. But all that changed last week when Barack Obama began lobbying the International Olympic Committee to let his hometown of Chicago host the summer Olympics in 2016.

Immediately after Obama started his push, conservatives began attacking Chicago as a crime-infested hellhole unfit to hold prestigious international events. Fox News contributor Kimberly Guilfoyle, for instance, said Chicago had problems of “lawlessness, violence on the street, innocent bystanders being killed, children beaten and unable to go to schools.” The ever-classy Sean Hannity, meanwhile, decided to help Chicago’s Olympic bid by highlighting the story of a 14-year-old boy who was chased down and beaten with a pipe. And Michelle Malkin decided to do her part to help Obama by highlighting his “Chicago cronies Olympics bid.”

When Obama’s push failed, of course, conservatives across the nation leaped up in joy, apparently ecstatic that they had smeared the reputation of a great American city.  (Ironically, winning city Rio de Janeiro has a murder rate more than three times as high as Chicago’s.).

If this ain’t a problem with the black man…

This is not good for America.

1.   “We need segregated buses… In Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, ‘Yah, right on, right on, right on, right on,’” – Rush Limbaugh

2.  “…  Monkeys came running out of the jungle, and they grabbed the golf balls …and the rule was, you have to play the ball where the monkey throws it.” Congressman Ray Blount

3.  Obama “is most certainly creating a climate of hate against” Jews – Mike Savage

.4.  Obama has… a “deep-seated hatred for white people… and white culture.” – Glen Beck

5.  “Adolf Hitler, like Barack Obama, also ruled by dictate.” – Rush Limbaugh

6. “The invasion of illegal aliens is threatening the health of many Americans.” – Lou Dobbs

This is past ‘Blue Dogs’, it has really become a ‘Black Thing’.

The Republican Party only has one mission and it more than just saying no to the black man.

President Obama first spoke about doing something about reigning in the one industry in this country that has helped contribute to this financial crisis with its greed, the health insurance industry during the campaign. The rate of coverage for the average family and individual has risen four times the rate of wages over the last decade and this includes the rich as well as the poor. No one can tell the companies what they have to cover and what they can deny, so they deny as much as they can obviously to have the least amount of negative impact on the company’s bottom line, and that makes them look good to Wall Street. The company’s stock rises, the value continues to climb, and those in the right positions continue to make big money. Capitalism says this kind of activity in a particular sector of the business economy is good for the markets, capitalism, and the economy. What the market will bear. Republicans always talk about letting business go on unfettered by government regulation or intervention. During this time of unfettered soaring profits being made by one health insurance industry, industrial giants like General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and even Boeing has been affected almost to the point of complete bankruptcy by the success of one sector over all of the rest of the United States international business community. We all have heard it spoke of by Corporate America all the time, a legacy cost that doesn’t exist in competing international businesses because we are the one nation in the modern world without health care as a right of citizenship. For the Republicans it is no longer a fight for average Americans struggling in these hard financial times or suffering from catastrophic medical costs, their mission has into a more dangerous party being controlled by a totally un-American political entity.

The Republicans, they have evolved way past the party of no, and finally have allowed the Klu Klux Klan to take full control of the party. The ‘men of the south’ have finally taken control of a political party like never before. In the past it was the thing to get politicians with at least sympathies related to the cause of the ‘South’ and that is the reestablishment of the ‘Superiority’ of the ‘White Race’. The coded words seen at the town yelling sessions like ‘real Americans’, ‘hard working people’,  all the cries of ‘government takeover’ and the crying of ‘we have to take our country back’ are the in your face in modern times statement of the fear of the whites in America. They don’t reproduce at the same rate, as family values are not practiced, but preached often. The numbers of minorities (at some point that perception will change) is growing rapidly every day, at some point, whites will be the minorities here at home in America. I think they feel that they are going to have to make a stand for the survival of their race. The “Party’s ‘hijacking of ’patriotism, religious principled strong national security and played right into the required goals of the Klan and it mission to press for a national agenda. Rush Limbaugh, Sara Palin, Glenn Beck, the Birthers, are all signs of the same mindset, this is ‘Our America’. That means that segment of the country’s citizenry would like the rest of us citizens who are not members of the white race to just leave the country, if not, a race war is a serious possibility.

What the problem is with that desire is the quiet messages, and the real loud threats visible at the public events such as guns in the same location where the President of the United States is attending a function and not one law enforcement officer taking action against them. The remarks being made by public officials suggesting approval of those making statements about killing or hunting the President, yet they remain in office. The Republican Party elected officials voting against the needs of the constituents in their district when it comes to health care, yet after being challenged by the President over 90 days ago, still have not presented to the country, their constituents, or anyone for that matter a plan to at the very least, stop the bleeding going on with the continuous raising of the costs borne by the whole country’s business community and markets they claim to love and believe in so much. That is because these people yelling and demanding to see a birth certificate, and literally crying tears for the ‘lost of America’, making claims of the government taking over control of their lives, all are suggesting just by continuing this behavior, all of the rest of us are not legitimate worthy citizens of this country. There is a danger in the air and some of the level headed members of the party are starting to stand up and speak loudly against the party standing on the sidelines looking the other way. Joe Scarborough of MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ program called out the party for not making any effort to stop the dangerous rhetoric going on all around the country and speaking to the real danger to the country and the Republican Party if this escalates. Still other members like Lindsey Graham spoke of the absurdity of the Birthers movement, and the need to get back to civility in the health care debate. Where this is headed is anyone’s guess, I am just hoping one President can make it back to Chi town.
